Jordon Forster set to return to Hibs from Plymouth to recover from sickening head knock

Defender Jordon Forster is set to return to Hibs so that he can get patched up following a sickening head injury.

The defender, who is currently on loan at English League Two promotion hopefuls Plymouth, was left with swelling on the jaw and the brain after crashing into an advertising board during Tuesday’s defeat at Barnet.

Tests showed that the 22-year-old had not broken his jaw as first feared and Pilgrims boss Derek Adams is hoping his fellow Scot will be back in action before the end of the month.

Adams, however, admits Forster is expected to make a temporary return to his parent club as part of his recovery.

Adams, speaking to pafc.co.uk, said: “He will probably go back to Hibs for a week or so just to see their medical staff then he will come back here when he is close to fitness.

“The situation is we are just waiting to get the consultant’s report and take things from there. He does not have a broken jaw.

“I am hopeful he will be back, I think he will be back this month.

“It could have been (a lot worse), he did slide across the surface very quickly and at full impact into the boardings.”
