A SCOTS kitten is completely smitten – with Irn Bru.
Mia, a six month-old Bengal, can’t help sniffing, rubbing and pawing at a bottle of the nation’s favourite fizzy drink.
The feline from Aberdeen even dips her paw in the drink and laps it up.
Owner Erin White, 26, bought Mia last December, just in time for Christmas.
It wasn’t long until she realised her kitten had a penchant for Irn Bru, and she decided to take a video to prove it.
The 16-second clip begins with Erin holding an open bottle of Irn Bru with Mia sniffing the lid and rubbing the side of her face across the top of the plastic.
When Erin goes to move the bottle further away, the kitten sticks out her paw and tries to stop her.
After that fails, she even reaches over with both paws outstretched in a bid to grab the bottle back.
Her persistence pays off, and eventually the drink is returned to her so she can continue sniffing and rubbing the packaging.
Erin, who works as a senior marine reporter, said: “She is indeed drawn to Irn Bru…she seems to like the smell, the orange colour and the bubbles.
“If you’re holding the bottle, she’ll try to knock it out of your hand and roll it on the floor. If you’ve got a glass of it sitting around, she’ll dip her paw in it or it ends up on the carpet.
“I’m a fan of Irn Bru but my dad likes it even more, so he’s always got a stash around that Mia can play with.”
