Falkirk defender Luke Leahy has handed the Bairns a boost after putting pen to paper on a 12-month contract extension.
The 23-year-old left-back, who would have been a free agent this summer, is now tied to the club until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
Leahy has made 105 appearances for Peter Houston’s side since joining from English non-league outfit Rugby in July 2012.
Manager Houston, who is also hoping to sign defender Aaron Muirhead on a longer deal, said: “Luke has been a fantastic player for me and has continued to improve while consolidating himself in the left back position. He is an extremely hardworking player who is a great character around the changing room.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Luke as he continues his development in the left back position, while playing a vital role in our first team squad.”
