Dunfermline defender Ryan Williamson has returned to full training – six months after suffering a horror double-leg break.
The highly-rated Scotland under-19 international suffered the damage following a sickening collision with Forfar defender Michael Dunlop during the Pars’ 3-0 win at Station Park last August.
It was the second serious injury Williamson, 19, has endured during his short career, having previously spent several months on the sidelines after dislocating his knee-cap last season.
Nevertheless, the speedy right-back has battled back admirably from the devastating fractures and resumed training with his Dunfermline teammates on Monday.
Williamson, who made five appearances for the League One leaders prior to his injury, will not be rushed back into action, with an outing for the under-20s side likely to be the next step in his recovery.
However, he will be available for the run-in as Dunfermline attempt to drive home their eight point lead at the summit and seal their return to the Championship.
