SCOTS DJ Calvin Harris has apologised for being “partly responsible” for DJs sharing “horrible” shirtless selfies on social media.
The 32-year-old Dumfries born musician, whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles, has been attracting more admirers after he was revealed as the new face of Giorgio Armani’s Spring Summer 2015 underwear campaign.
Since then he has been treating his huge fan base of almost 7 million Twitter followers and 4.7 million Instagram followers to dozens of pics of his gym sculpted muscles performing behind decks across the world.
But now the DJ has said sorry to his fans after feeling partially responsible for an increase of DJ’s getting half naked to take bad selfies.
Last night he wrote: “I feel partly responsible for all these shirtless DJ selfies on Instagram and I just want to say sorry because it’s horrible.”
Fellow famous DJ, Axwell wrote: “I’m sure you had your reasons bro but its ok – your music made up for it.”
While female fans begged the singer to not let this put him off sharing topless pics.
Meg Lew wrote: “Don’t let the horrible shirtless pics of others ruin it for everyone else & by that I mean please keep posting shirtless pics.”
Baleigh said: “Please post more shirtless pics.”
And Emily Shephard ?wrote: “YOU can do it as often as you want.”
Harris burst onto the scenes in 2007 with his debut album, I Created Disco, going straight in at number one in the UK Albums Chart.
He then continued to release four successful albums and now lives in Los Angeles, California.
