East Fife player/manager Gary Naysmith has been handed a major boost after captain Kevin Smith put pen to paper on a new 18-month deal.
And the striker is ready to celebrate his new terms by returning to action in tomorrow’s visit of Clyde having been sidelined since December 8 through injury.
Smith said: “I’m delighted to get the deal done.
“As soon as I heard the gaffer wanted me back I never really had any doubts.
“He has been different class with me and obviously being the club captain, I think it’s important.
“It’s been really frustrating having been out for a while and its difficult cause I haven’t been able to have an influence.
“But It was good for me to get 90 minutes under my belt on Tuesday in the friendly against Kelty Hearts and I feel ready to go again now.”
