Scotland defender Andy Robertson admits he has brushed aside suggestions that he is a £7 million signing target for Derby County.
The Hull City left-back has been on a rich vein form for the promotion-chasing Championship outfit having started the last 11 matches in all competition.
Robertson has made a total of 54 appearances for the Tigers since moving from Dundee United in a £2.85 million deal 18 months ago but admits he does not envisage leaving Hull any time soon.
The 21-year-old said: “The gaffer laughed it off and I laughed it off. It was brushed aside very quickly. The gaffer dealt with it talking to the press and saved me from doing it.
“I was happy with what he did just so I can focus on getting Hull back up into the Premier League. That’s all I’m thinking about.
Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, he added: “It doesn’t unsettle me. That came out the day before we went and won 6-0 (against Charlton) and I thought I played quite well so I’ve just got on with it.”
