Former Aberdeen defender Jack Grimmer has joined Shrewsbury Town from Fulham on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The Scotland Under-21-cap, who has made a total of 17 appearances for the Cottagers since switching from Pittodrie in 2012, has moved to Shrews for a second time after playing for the club in 2014 during Micky Mellon’s first spell as manager.
The 21-year-old has only recently returned to full fitness after being sidelined for three months with an ankle injury that required surgery.
Shrews boss Mellon said: “Everyone knows what type of player Jack is. I keep talking about the need to get League One ready players, and Jack is a Championship player.
“He is a player with pace and with power and no end of ability.
“He is well known to the fans and I’m sure they will be happy to see a player like Jack coming into the group.
“The opportunity to get Jack in is one that we have worked hard to make happen and we are grateful to Fulham.”
