Queen of the South manager James Fowler admits he is planning talks with out of contract pair Kyle Hutton and Paul Heffernan.
Former Rangers midfielder Hutton and one-time Hibs and Kilmarnock marksman Heffernan’s short-term deals with the Doonhamers expire this month.
Hutton, who has made 18 appearances since moving from Ibrox last August, has already expressed his desire to remain with the Palmerston Park outfit.
Heffernan has been hampered by injury since his summer switch from Dundee and has only managed seven outings.
Fowler, who tied down left-back Jordan Marshall on a new 18-month deal on Saturday, said: “Heffernan and Hutton are out of contract in the middle of the month so we need to speak them and see what their thoughts are, and see what we’re going to do with that.
“There will probably be a bit of movement this month in general. At this time of year, finances are tight but we’ll hopefully be looking to add one or two.”
