Livingston interim chairman Robert Wilson has confirmed that caretaker manager David Hopkin will continue in the role for tomorrow’s visit of Queen of the South.
Former Scotland internationalist Hopkin was initially asked to take charge of two matches, a victory over St Mirren and defeat to Falkirk, following the recent surprise sacking of Mark Burchill.
But with the club’s board no further forward to unveiling a permanent successor to Burchill, Hopkin, who has hinted that he would be keen on the vacancy, will now also be in the dugout for the weekend.
Wilson said: “David will be in the dugout for the game on Saturday and we have a board meeting on Monday, so we’ll take things from there.
“We’ve had around 20 applicants for the job, there’s a good list there.”
