Former Raith Rovers skipper Allan Walker has joined Berwick Rangers after agreeing an early exit from East Fife.
The 29-year-old impressed for John Coughlin’s men during a friendly against Newcastle’s under-21 side on Wednesday afternoon and, subject to SFA clearance, could make his Berwick debut against Annan tomorrow.
Walker made 56 appearance for the Fifers during his 18 months at Bayview, while he also boasts stints with Livingston and Brechin City.
However, his most successful period came as a mainstay of the Raith side between 2008 and 2013, reaching the Scottish Cup semi-final and narrowly missing out on promotion to the top flight.
Walker arrives at a Berwick side enjoying a mini-resurgence under Coughlin, who replaced Colin Cameron in November, after registering two consecutive wins against East Stirlingshire and Queen’s Park.
