Jack Ross has made his first signing as Alloa boss after snapping up highly-rated Aberdeen kid Scott McKenna on an emergency loan deal.
The 19-year-old has joined the Wasps for the next six weeks and could make his debut in tomorrow’s derby clash against Falkirk at the Indodrill Stadium.
McKenna is the skipper of the Dons under-20 side and has also captained Scotland at under-19 level as he continues to gain a fine reputation at youth level.
He spent the second half of last season on loan with Ayr United, making 12 appearances for the Honest Men as they secured League One safety.
Ross will be hopeful the arrival of McKenna will help to shore up the Championship’s worst defence, which has conceded 38 goals so far this term. Alloa find themselves eight points adrift at the foot of the second tier.
