Bannatyne ridiculed after tweeting – then deleting – snog picture

DUNCAN Bannatyne prompted another Twitter backlash by posting a picture of him snogging his 36-year-old girlfriend.

The tycoon, 66, appeared to delete the image less than an hour later after he was taken to task on the social media platform.

Bannatyne posted the image of himself and Nigora Whitehorn engaged in a passionate clinch with the caption: “Good morning, have a wonderful day. I know I will.”

Bannatyne tweeted this image and then appeared to think better of it – but not before the backlash started

The tweet followed a high-profile Twitter row between Bannatyne and the father of a 12-year-old. The boy had asked Bannatyne for business advice and been told: “Who do you think you are?”

But today’s (mon) “kiss” picture – whatever Bannatyne’s intentions – added fuel to the flames.

Many of the comments were unpublishable, but Paul Meaney tweeted: “I just sicked up my sugar puffs.”

Another wrote: “That just gave me the boak.”

Another Twitter user, Greg Jones, added: “I just vomited my breakfast.”

One more asked “Is this woman doing a bush-tucker trial” – in a reference to Bannatyne’s recent appearance on TV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Others were quick to jibe about the age difference between Bannatyne and his girlfriend.

One commented: “She’s thinking, ‘Five years max..I can do it…it’ll be worth it.”

Another added: “Duncan, what first attracted your beautiful, young brunette girlfriend to you, the multimillionaire, ageing dragon?”

Yet another Twitter user posted a picture of himself in his dressing gown downing a packet of Flipz chocolate-covered pretzels and the caption: ““Good morning, have a wonderful day. I know I will.”

By 10.30am today (Mon), the tweet appeared to have been deleted.

Bannatyne sparked outrage at the weekend after appearing to turn on a young fan who wanted advice on being an entrepreneur.

On December 6, Rocco Rose, from Darfield, South Yorks, tweeted at the Dragon’s Den star: “Hey, after I asked you for an idea for another business plan of what I can do I took up buying and selling stuff online. Thank you.”

But Bannatyne responded saying: “I know you did and I ignored you. Who do you think you are?”

Rocco himself said: “I think he thought that I was being rude by saying ‘hey’, but I was just saying ‘hello.’”

“I was really excited to get a reply but then really disappointed with what it said.”

“For the person I have been admiring all my life to send me that reply is really upsetting. I still admire him and look up to him but I can’t believe he replied like that.”

Bannatyne broke up with his former-beauty queen girlfriend Michelle Evans earlier this year.

Evans claimed she ended their seven month relationship by using the Dragon’s Den catchphrase “I’m out.”

But Bannatyne made a series of Tweets apparently referring to her as a “bunny boiler” after she accused him of threatening to leak naked photographs of her if she “caused trouble.”
