Alex Harris insists Queen of the South can push for a promotion play-off place this season – because they’ve not yet hit top form.
The Doonhamers currently sit sixth in the table after just three wins in their last 15 matches.
However, with 19 games remaining in the campaign, the Dumfries side are still just two points adrift of Morton, who occupy fourth spot.
And Harris, who is on a season-long loan from Hibs, is confident the Palmerston Park men have what it takes to clinch a play-off for the third consecutive year, if they can peak in the second half of the campaign.
He said: “We feel we’ve not been at our best yet. We’ve not hit a run of form where we’re picking up results.
“But they’ll come and we’re still in about it, so we’ll look forward to the rest of the season.”
