Scottish referee Bobby Madden will be the man in the middle as compatriot Barry Douglas attempts to reach the last 32 of the Europa League.
The 26-year-old is currently on the books of reigning Polish champions Lech Poznan and will be a part of the side which hosts Basel this evening.
A win could see Lech – currently third in Group I – reach the next round, depending on the result between Fiorentina and Belenenses.
And, with European progress on the line for the former Queen’s Park and Dundee United defender, Madden will oversee the fixture at the raucous INEA Stadion.
Meanwhile, fellow Scot John Beaton has also been handed a crucial continental clash.
The whistler faces a trip to France to take charge of Bordeaux’s final Group B fixture against Rubin Kazan, with the Russian side still harbouring hopes of progressing from the section which also includes Liverpool and Sion.
