The Petrofac Training Cup will snub the suits when Rangers face Peterhead after announcing that one supporter will have the opportunity to present the trophy to the winning captain.
The scheme was a roaring success last season, with lucky Livingston fan Graeme Blanche selected to hand over the silverware to Lions skipper Jason Talbot following their 4-0 win against Alloa Athletic.
And Petrofac have chosen to overlook the dignitaries once again this campaign.
A competition to find a Gers and Peterhead supporter to do the honours in the April 10 showpiece, which is likely to take place at Hampden Park, is due to be launched in the New Year.
Jill Tough, marketing manager at Petrofac Training Services, said: “Sponsors often use directors or other senior officials to make such presentations.
“But our view is that the Petrofac Training Cup is a competition about supporters and we want them at the heart of everything we do. That means no suits on the podium again this year!”
