Livingston are in talks to sign Australian youngster Jacob Esposito following a tip-off from former Scotland internationalist Gavin Rae.
The 20-year-old has impressed Lions manager Mark Burchill on trial and the Championship outfit are hopeful of completing a deal that will run until the end of the season.
The versatile Esposito, who is described as a direct player that can play at right back and in midfield, was a team-mate of one-time Rangers and Dundee midfielder Rae at Australian second tier outfit Hakoah Sydney City East.
It is understood that Rae recommended Esposito to the West Lothian outfit.
Burchill is keen to bolster his squad having not been able to name his full quota of seven substitutes in their last seven matches due to injuries.
