Andy Little is determined to make the most of a “fresh start” at Blackpool after joining the Seasiders on loan until January.
The former Rangers marksman has not made a single appearance for Preston North End side this term after falling behind Stevie May, Eoin Doyle, Will Keane and Joe Garner in the pecking order.
Little, who could make his debut against Southend on Saturday, hopes to kick-start his season with Neil McDonald’s struggling Tangerines – while helping them climb out of the League One drop-zone.
He said: “This is a big year for me and it hasn’t started so well. This is a fresh start for me and I’ve enjoyed meeting all the lads. Hopefully I can get my season back on track and hopefully help Blackpool get back on track.”
Despite helping Preston to the League One title last term, the Northern Ireland international is adamant fans south of the border have not seen the best of him.
And he hopes to replicate the form which saw him bag 38 goals in 87 appearance for Rangers before leaving the club in 2014.
Little told Blackpool’s official website: “I’ve spent the majority of my career in Scotland and I feel like I haven’t really done myself justice since I’ve been down here.
“Last year was great to be part of a promotion but, from a personal point of view, I feel like I haven’t shown what I can do yet. ”
