Falkirk midfielder Tom Taiwo is set to be out of action until 2016 as he recovers from a knee injury.
The former Chelsea and Hibs man has not featured for Peter Houston’s side since limping off just nine minutes into the Bairns’ 1-0 win over Morton last month.
Scans showed the 25-year-old has suffered ligament damage and he is expected to be sidelined until well beyond the Festive period.
Taiwo is currently in a leg brace as Falkirk’s medical staff oversee his recovery.
Bairns assistant James McDonaugh confirmed: “Tom definitely won’t be back before Christmas, and I think it will actually be quite a bit after that. He is still walking about in a full leg brace, so there is some way to go.”
