Falkirk manager Peter Houston has revealed he would consider a permanent move for Ryan Sinnamon in future after being impressed by the on-loan Rangers youngster.
The 19-year-old made his home debut for the Bairns at the weekend in the thumping 5-0 win over Alloa Athletic after being forced to wait for first-team opportunities with the Championship outfit.
The Scotland under-19 cap joined the Bairns in August but did not make his first appearance for the Westfield side until last month because of an ankle injury sustained shortly after his arrival.
The form of Aaron Muirhead in defence has limited Sinnamon’s game-time so far, but Houston has confessed he intends keeping a close eye on the teenager’s future at Ibrox in case a long-term switch becomes a possibility.
He said: “Ryan’s been a bit unfortunate. In the first couple of days after I brought Ryan in he would have gone in to the team but he injured his ankle.
“He was out for four or five weeks and by the time he came back fully-fit, Aaron had made the position his and he’s doing well in there.
“Ryan’s had to be patient and we’ve spoken to him about that and we’ve spoken to Rangers.”
Houston added on Falkirk TV: “He’s a young kid still and I think he’s got a bright future.
“Whether that’s with Rangers, I don’t know, but certainly if something was to happen and Rangers let him go then I’d probably be interested.”
