Hearts defender Jahmal Howlett-Mundle has joined Montrose on an emergency one-month loan deal after the Links Park outfit were plunged into an injury crisis.
The former Crystal Palace trainee will offer Gable Endies manager Paul Hegarty much needed cover at the back following a string of personnel set-backs.
Following Tuesday’s Scottish Cup defeat to non-league minnows Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale, Terry Masson, Andrew Steeves and Ross McCord joined Matt Allan, Paul Watson, Jordan Miller and Adam McWilliam in the treatment room.
Howlett-Mundle, 18, moved to Hearts during the summer and has featured regularly for the Tynecastle outfit’s Under-20 side.
Hearts have also confirmed that striker Robbie Buchanan has returned from his loan spell at Cowdenbeath.
