Former Raith Rovers manager Grant Murray is in the running to become the new boss of Berwick Rangers – with the Shielfield club expected to unveil Colin Cameron’s successor today.
Murray currently coaches the Hibs Under-17s after being axed at Stark’s Park during the summer but is keen to return to the dugout at first team level.
The Wee Gers are looking for a new manager after Cameron was sacked after Saturday’s 4-1 League Two defeat to Montrose.
Interviews for the post were due to be held last night and the club hope to be in a position to make an announcement today.
Chairman Brian Porteous said: “We had nine really good applicants for the job and we whittled it down to a short-list of three.
“We’re confident one of those three will be able to do us a turn and if everything goes well, we’ll hopefully make an announcement on Friday.”
Former Berwick assistant manager Robbie Horn, who is currently in charge of junior outfit Bonnyrigg Rose, has also been linked with the vacancy.
