Peter Houston has urged his Falkirk side to ensure they get their Rangers anger and disappointment out of their systems as they prepare to face Morton tomorrow.
The Bairns were enraged by the manner of their 3-1 defeat to Rangers on their last outing almost a fortnight ago.
The Westfield outfit were drawing 1-1 going into the final 10 minutes at Ibrox when referee John McKendrick awarded the hosts a debatable free-kick 25 yards from goal.
James Tavernier curled in from the set piece to give Rangers the lead and Lee Wallace ensured a ninth straight victory for the Light Blues with an injury-time third.
Afterwards, Falkirk’s annoyance boiled over, resulting in first-team coach Alan Maybury landing a one-match touchline ban for swearing at McKendrick and Houston earning an SFA disciplinary hearing for comments made in a post-match interview.
However, though still irked by the Govan goings-on, Houston is eager for his team to recover their poise as they bid to overcome a first league defeat in eight matches when they host Morton.
He said: “We have to clear our heads and we’ve done that since the Rangers game.
“We’ve moved on, the game’s finished. Rangers beat us and we now focus completely on Morton.
“We have to clear our heads and make sure we get back to winning ways, and we’ve spoken about that.
“The players got a couple of days off at the end of last week, which wasn’t a bad thing in some ways.
“We’ve worked hard since we came back and worked hard towards Saturday, which we know is going to be a difficult game against a Morton team who have started well in the Championship.”
