Scotland manager Gordon Strachan is not the only person that has recognised Jordan Rhodes’ recent contribution at Blackburn Rovers after the striker was nominated for the first PFA Fans’ Championship Player of the Month award.
Rhodes scored five goals in four games in September to secure an international recall for the crucial forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Poland and Gibraltar.
Scotland Under-21 forward Ryan Fraser, who is on loan at Ipswich from Bournemouth, has also been included in an 11-player shortlist alongside Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Ross Wallace, who began his career at Celtic.
