Bobby Madden and Steven McLean will fly the flag for Scottish referees in Europe this week after being handed Europa League ties.
Madden will be in Portugal on Thursday to take charge of Braga’s home encounter with Dutch outfit Groningen and McLean has been handed responsibility for Club Brugge’s home clash with Danish side Midtjylland in Belgium.
It will be Madden’s third European assignment of the season, having officiated in both the Champions League and Europa League last month, whilst McLean also took charge of a Europa League tie in August.
There are no appointments, however, for either Craig Thomson or Willie Collum, who have both come in for criticism for domestic displays this season.
