Scotland cap Kevin McNaughton is to be handed a testimonial by Cardiff City after the defender served the Bluebirds for nine years.
Cardiff have confirmed that they are seeking a suitable date for an exhibition match to honour the 33-year-old.
McNaughton departed City earlier this summer after making 292 appearances for the club.
The former Aberdeen player was signed by fellow countryman Gary Caldwell for Wigan in August but is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The highlight of the defender’s time at the Welsh outfit was the 2013 Championship title success.
McNaughton was also named the club’s Player of the Year in 2011.
Speaking on Twitter, McNaughton said: “Would be nice to come back and say goodbye properly.”
