Livingston manager Mark Burchill insists it is no secret how Inverness will approach tonight’s League Cup tie – he just needs to find a way how to stop them.
The Lions have won all their four cup matches so far this season but are still without a victory in the Championship after seven matches.
Burchill knows exactly what to expect when John Hughes takes his side to the Tony Macaroni Arena this evening and reckons his team have enough quality to cause a shock.
He said: “We’ve done well in the cups this season. We’ve played really well in the cups and in the following game its like we’ve had a hangover and struggled in the league.
“Inverness are a good side and it’s the ex-Livingston manager coming back. It will be great for the guys who were here to see him again.
“We know they pass the ball very well, we know their style of play but I think we’ve got guys that can combat them.
“Anybody that knows big Yogi knows his teams want to pass the ball, they want to pass it out from the back and they don’t kick it long.
“They’re a very athletic, strong team with good players in it and Yogi gets them playing the way he wants. I watched the game against Hearts and I would like to think I know them well.
“It won’t be easy for them, we’re a good side getting better and I think we’ll prove that.”
