Former Scotland internationalist Scott Robertson is on the hunt for a club in Britain after ripping up his contract at Romanian side FC Botosani after just three months.
The 30-year-old made the shock switch to Romania in June, penning a three-year contract following his release by Hibernian.
However, the former Dundee and Dundee United midfielder played just 65 minutes for the club in four substitute appearances – and failed to make a single start for the Liga I outfit.
And Robertson, who failed to settle, agreed to have his contract mutually terminated following showdown talks with the Botosani hierarchy.
Robertson is now training with Championship outfit Raith Rovers but, with the Fifers’ transfer budget completely spent, he is unlikely to pen a deal at Stark’s Park.
As a free agent, he would be able to sign for a club despite the closure of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, ex-Manchester United and Hibs winger Danny Galbraith is also set to train with Rovers this week.
The 25-year-old, who played 69 times during an underwhelming four years in Leith, has been without a club since leaving Gillingham in the close season.
