Scotland’s Myriam Madden elected President of CIMA

Edinburgh-based management accountant Myriam Madden has been elected President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Ms. Madden is a Director of Finance specialising in finance and operational transformation across the public sector, financial services and in global blue-chip companies.

She has led finance functions in organisations such as Hewlett Packard, HBOS, the Scottish Arts Council and Historic Scotland.

Ms Madden said: “I am delighted to be elected as President of CIMA.

“It is a great honour and I look forward to further building on the institute’s success both in Scotland and across the globe.

“As President, I am excited by CIMA’s impact in contributing to the success of businesses and their boards in all major global cities.

“CIMA has a valuable asset in its global community of students and members – one of my ambitions is to galvanise them to be confident advocates for CIMA and the management accounting profession.

“CIMA’s strategic initiatives will be more successful if they reflect the enthusiasm, energy and diverse ideas of our members and students.”
