A TRAIN company is celebrating its first 150 days of service – by adding Prosecco to the menu.

Virgin Trains East Coast will now offer a £6 bottle of the alcoholic drink to onboard passengers.

The tasty tipple makes its debut as the service gears up for a busy summer season, taking thousands of travellers to a range of destinations across the UK.

And that is not all they will be celebrating – the company has just been named as the highest-ranked train operator by the Institute of Customer Service.

Alison Watson, Customer Experience Director at Virgin Trains East Coast, said: “We’re delighted to be putting the sparkle into the customer experience by adding Prosecco to our range of food and drinks on-board.

“It’s also fantastic to have been recognised by the Institute of Customer Experience for the service we deliver.

“We’re sure that Prosecco will be a summertime hit and look forward to providing our customers with an amazing customer experience.”
