Bannatyne takes dig at ex with skeleton pic

Duncan Bannatyne has hit out at an ex-girlfriend – by posting a picture showing a skeleton “waiting for someone better to come along”.

The Dragon’s Den star took to Twitter to share the snap, which shows a skeleton reclined on a sofa, wrapped in a towel with a bowl of biscuits.

The picture includes the text ‘My ex waiting for someone better to come along”.

Bannatyne shared the picture with his 730,000 followers, with the caption: “Funny huh?”

It is unclear which former flame he was referring to, but he was quick to correct a follower who suggested it was his ex-wife.

Mark Wilson wrote: “Not funny – bordering on the edge of humiliating/bullying – still your kids mother show some dignity.”

Bannatyne replied: “Please explain why you have (wrongly) assumed I am talking about that particular ex?”

The multi-millionaire recently went through a very public split with ex-girlfriend Michelle Evans.

Bannatyne has been sharing snaps with his new flame – Nigora Whitehorn

The former beauty queen, 37, dumped Bannatyne on Twitter using his own catchphrase “I’m out” after seeing pictures of him holding hands with dental receptionist Nigora Whitehorn.

She ended the seven-month relationship by Tweeting: “Leopards don’t change so had to end it today @duncanbannatyne I’m out!!”

Just hours earlier she had shared a picture of a bouquet of flowers with the caption ‘24 roses romantic card champagne thanks @duncanbannatyne my birthday’.

The 66-year-old father of six responded to her announcement by posting pictures with his new love, and tweeting “Oh what a beautiful morning”.

Bunny boiler

He was then accused of threatening to release intimate snaps of Miss Evans, and took to social media to call her a “bunny boiler”.

“I hear there is a bunny boiler on the loose in the UK,” he wrote while on holiday in France.

It is not the first time Mr Bannatyne has suffered an unfortunate end to a romance.

He was left heartbroken in 2011 when his former wife Joanne McCue, the mother of his two youngest children, informed him via text message she had filed for divorce.

The businessman later claimed their split had cut his wealth from £430million to £85million in two years.

He famously called Joanne, who he met in 1992, a gold-digger on Twitter.

‘Basically, she was worth more divorced than with me,’ he says. ‘If we hadn’t been married, I maintain we’d still be together’, he said following the split.
