Livingston have again raided the Junior ranks to snap up Musselburgh Athletic talisman Jordyn Sheerin – and are eyeing Penicuik Athletic midfielder Jordan Lister.
Sheerin scored a remarkable 42 goals in all competitions last term, helping The Burgh reach the Junior Cup Final and convincing Lions’ player/boss Mark Burchill that he deserves a crack at the Championship.
The 25-year-old, who is the cousin of ex-Aberdeen and St Johnstone star Paul Sheerin, has previously played for East Fife, Arbroath and East Stirlingshire in the senior game.
Burchill is also understood to be keeping tabs on 23-year-old Lister, who has been a pivotal part of the Penicuik side since joining the club from Bonnyrigg Rose in 2013.
Livingston are no strangers to looking below the SPFL for talent, having also signed Michael McKenna – now on the books at Berwick Rangers – from Musselburgh and Scott Pittman from Bo’ness United last season.
Meanwhile, Livi youngster Ryan Currie has agreed a new contract with Livi, taking the club’s tally of contracted players to 10 for next term following the lifting of their transfer embargo on Tuesday.
