Scotland forward Jamie Mackie has returned to Queens Park Rangers after signing an initial two-year deal at Loftus Road.
The nine-times capped Mackie, who has the option of a further 12-months, left the London club for Nottingham Forest in a £1 million deal in 2013 but spent last season on loan at Reading.
All of the 29-year-old’s Scotland appearances came during his first three-year stint with Rangers and Mackie is hoping for another fruitful spell at the club.
He said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be back.
“Anyone that knows me will tell you just how much this club means to me – and the feelings that I’ve got for the place have only grown in the short time I’ve been away.
“People say never go back but I feel as though I’ve got some unfinished business here, and under the guidance of (director of football) Les Ferdinand and (head coach) Chris Ramsey, I can only see a bright future for this club.
“They know I’ll come in and give my absolute maximum and – having played in front of the QPR fans before – I know that’s exactly what they love to see. It’s great to be back.”
