Dumbarton have completed the signings of Mark Brown and Willie Gibson as the Stevie Aitken revolution continues.
Aitken confirmed that Brown spurned opportunities to remain in full-time football to pen a deal with the Championship side.
The 34-year-old made 25 appearances for Ross County last term and boasts stints with Motherwell, Inverness, Kilmarnock and Hibs during a journeyman career.
Gibson, who will formally sign for the Sons this weekend, reunites with Aitken after the pair enjoyed a successful campaign together at Stranraer last term.
Aitken said: “I’m delighted that Mark Brown has opted to sign for us. There were a few other full-time clubs after him, but our message about what a good place Dumbarton is succeeded.
“I know Willie Gibson well from our time working together at Stranraer. He’s a versatile player who has great ability.”
The duo’s arrival adds to the summer signings of Kevin Cawley, Mark Docherty, Darren Miller, Gregor Buchanan and Grant Gallagher.
