Hearts have announced that they will take on English outfit Preston North End as part of their preparations for a return to the Premiership.
Robbie Neilson’s side travel south of the border to face the Lilywhites on Saturday, July 18.
Like Hearts, Preston also celebrated promotion last season after returning to the Championship following a play-off final victory over Swindon.
Hearts kick off their pre-season at the start of next month with a trip to Dublin to take on Bohemians and Shelbourne.
They then travel to Raith Rovers, Dumbarton, Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath before the clash with Preston.
