Hamilton have completed their first signing of the close season after snapping up former Scotland under-21 goalkeeper Alan Martin.
The 26-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the Premiership outfit and is expected to vie with Michael McGovern for the number one jersey.
Martin arrives at New Douglas Park on the back of an impressive campaign with League Two side Clyde, making 33 appearances and claiming the club’s player of the year award.
However, he turned down the offer of a new deal with Barry Ferguson’s side.
Martin started his career at Hamilton’s Lanarkshire rivals, Motherwell, before joining Leeds United in 2007. He failed to make a senior appearance at Elland Road but enjoyed loan stints with Barrow and Accrington Stanley. Permanent spells with Ayr United, Crewe and Aldershot Town followed.
