THE BIGGEST seal pup in Scotland has been discovered – floating 50ft high in cloud formation.
Controversial filmmaker David Graham Scott snapped the uncanny shape out of his car window when driving through Wick in the Highlands.
The cloud strongly resembles a baby seal – with eyes, an open mouth, flippers and a long tail.
It can be seen drifting just above some telephone masts on a bright sunny day, with no other clouds in sight.
It isn’t the first seal pup to be found in the area.
Just last year, two young seals were rescued after being washed up on Wick beach.
The two-year-old orphans, named Aphrodite and Typhoon, were saved by volunteers and taken in by the SSPCA.
Mr Scott, a Glasgow-based director, is best known for his hard-hitting BBC documentaries including Iboga Nights, in which he attempts to kick his drug addiction.
His film was broadcast as part of the BBC’s One Life series, and won Best Documentary at the Open City Film Fest in 2014.
Another of his films, Hanging With Frank, won the Best Documentary award at the Reel to Real festival in 1998.
