A new generation of blues acts from America will make appearances at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival after two Edinburgh musicians scouted the States for performers.
Scottish musicians Jed Potts and Sandy Tweeddale went to the home of American blues to find the best performers and bring them back to Scotland.
They travelled from California’s San Francisco to Memphis Tennessee and Mississippi and documented it on a video travel diary.
After scouting the country the pair came across Memphis harmonica playing sensation Brandon Santini will join this year’s line up on 25 July.
They also found young Oregon guitar slinger, Ben Rice and managed to arrange for the winner of the Mississippi Blues Child award, Mr Sipp, to play for three nights.
Commenting on their travels Jed and Sandy said: “We found and invited the best of the best to Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival 2015 – they’re all award winners, all outstanding musicians and all put on a great gig.
“We’re really looking forward to playing with everyone.”
This year the festival boast the biggest line up of blues musicians in it’s history with more than 25 major blues concerts taking place from 17 – 26 July
