Staff at a sea life centre have christened one of their fish ‘Farage’ after claiming there is a resemblance between the UKIP leader and the frogfish.
Staff at The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham say Nigel Farage and the fish have prominent eyes and jowly cheeks in common.
The centre’s curator James Robson, said: “It’s a little ironic, given Nigel Farage’s forthright opinions on immigration, that our own ‘Farage’ has spent several weeks in quarantine.
“He needed some time on his own to make sure he was feeding well and was in tip-top health. He’s now had the all-clear to move into our Coral Cave tropical display in the next few days.”
