Hibs say season ticket sales up 10% year-on-year following campaign

HIBS say they have sold more than 5,000 season tickets for next year.

The sale, a record for this point in the year, follows a campaign by the club called  We Are Hibernian FC.

Leeann Dempster, Chief Executive, said: “We are really pleased with the response of the fans. Sales are up 10% year on year and we are seeing hundreds of lapsed season ticket holders returning for next year.

“We would like to thank those supporters who have committed for next season and would urge those who haven’t signed up yet to do so and help us plan our player budgets.”

Funding generated by the sale of season tickets, with prices reduced by an average of 5%, will go directly towards Head Coach Alan Stubbs’ first team plans for the upcoming campaign.
The revenue already generated over the past month will enable Stubbs to make clear decisions on retaining current players and also enable him to be on the front-foot regarding player recruitment before the start of the summer window.

Stubbs said: “The response so far has been absolutely brilliant and the more supporters, who come on board and commit to season tickets strengthens our plans in terms of player recruitment.

“Since day one, our supporters have been fantastic and reaching the 5,000 mark in terms of season tickets at this moment in time shows how keen everybody is to buy into our plans for the future.”

Season Tickets for the 2015/16 campaign are available to buy online and supporters are encouraged to find out more information via the microsite, wearehibernianfc.co.uk.
