One in three Scots don’t trust their family enough to lend them money according to new research.
The study found 34% of people in Scotland don’t trust family members with their cash.
Figures for other parts of the UK show people in Wales are least likely to trust their family with their hard earned dosh standing at 57%.
While those in the South east of England are most trusting, with only 13% saying they don’t trust their family enough to loan them money.
According to the poll siblings were listed as the worst culprits when it came to borrowing money and not returning it, whilst fathers came in second and mothers third.
Nick Swan, of VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, said: “It’s sad to hear that so many Britons don’t trust their immediate family enough to lend them money, but once you’ve had one bad experience with regards to money it’s understandably very difficult to go on to trust that person again.”
