POLICE searching for an Irish nursing student who went missing after a night out in Glasgow are searching a park in the Kelvinside area of the city.
Karen Buckley, 24, from Cork, was seen leaving the Sanctuary nightclub at around 1am on Sunday morning.
Miss Buckley’s handbag was found in Dawsholm Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Specialist police teams are using search dogs, a helicopter and divers to search the area.
The nursing student’s parents have also flown to Scotland from their home in Ireland.

Miss Buckley’s mother Marian said on Tuesday: “We just want Karen home safely, we are desperate. She is our only daughter, we love her dearly.
“If anybody has any information please come forward, we would dearly appreciate it.”
Detective Superintendent Jim Kerr said: “Our absolute priority is to find Karen Buckley.
“Anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, should contact 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers.”
