Road works on Kincardine Bridge completed

Road maintenance on the A985 Kincardine Bridge has been completed ahead of schedule.

The work – which has a value of £350,000 – included the removal of the existing swing span surfacing and replacement of the bridge deck waterproofing and movement joints and the reinstatement of the road surfacing.

Keith McKune, Operating Company Representative of Amey, said: “We appreciate the patience and co-operation of road users while this essential work is undertaken.

“As well as completing early, we also undertook substantial concrete repairs and remedial works. Road maintenance work intended to keep Scotland’s important trunk routes operating safely and effectively can lead to disruption, but our intention is always to restore an improved service, as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
