The Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport has been named Director of the Year at the annual Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
Gordon Dewar was up against competition from the likes of Edinburgh Trams, Bauer Media Academy and Law at Work.
Last year was the airport’s busiest ever in terms of passenger numbers, new business and investment, with long-haul passenger traffic up almost 90%.
Sir John Elvidge, Chairman of Edinburgh Airport, said: “This award is thoroughly well-deserved and we’re proud to have a Chief Executive that is so committed to his role and to the people he works with.
“From rolling up his sleeves in the check-in hall on one of our busiest days ever, to talking with passengers directly about their experience, the energy Gordon exudes is infectious.”
