Glasgow Film Festival to be sponsored by Glasgow’s first ever gin

THE GLASGOW FILM FESTIVAL opening gala will be sponsored by Glasgow’s newest distillery.

Makar Glasgow Gin will be part of the opening celebrations for the 11th instalment of the festival at the Glasgow Film Theatre on 18 February.

The handcrafted gin, launched in October last year, will sponsor the opening gala screening of one of the festival’s most highly anticipated films- Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young featuring Ben Stiller.

Liam Hughes, CEO at The Glasgow Distillery Company which produces Makar Glasgow Gin, commented: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Opening Gala at The Glasgow Film Festival.

“We believe it is a perfect brand fit with Makar being closely connected to the world of Arts and it is also a wonderful opportunity to be involved with such a high-profile event for our city”.
