SNP just 5/2 to wipe out Labour in Glasgow

THE ODDS of a total wipe out of Labour MPs in Glasgow this May are just 5/2, according to Ladbrokes.

Many analysts have forecast heavy defeats for Labour and the Lib Dems in the upcoming general election with a 21% swing from Labour to SNP according to polling research by Lord Ashcroft.

In Glasgow the polling showed a 25.4% swing to SNP in Labour-held constituencies.

Ladbrokes bookies issued “Correct Score” odds for the seven seats in the Glasgow, and an SNP clean sweep is seen as the most likely outcome. The chances of Labour holding on to all seven constituencies and winning 7-0 are rated at 3/1.

The SNP are now overwhelming 1/7 favourites to win most seats across the whole of Scotland with odds of just 5/1 that they manage to win all 59.

Matthew Shaddick of Ladbrokes said: “We can’t find anyone, anywhere who wants to bet on Scottish Labour at the moment. Perhaps if Jim Murphy has a minute he could pop in to one of our shops and help us balance the books.”
