Delight for Sir Chris and Sarra as baby Callum comes home

CHRIS and Sarra Hoy got the best Christmas present of their lives yesterday – taking baby son Callum home.

Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris revealed the news by posting a photo of the tiny baby on Twitter.

Callum was born at just 29 weeks on October 15 and was not due until the New Year.

The cycling champion tweeted: “Well @SarraHoy & I received an early Xmas present this week, wee Callum is finally home! Thanks so much for all the kind messages of support.

“..and thanks to everyone in the Neonatal wards who helped him on his way. Still a long way to go but it’s great to have him home!”

Posting the photo, he added: “He may only be tiny but in this pose I can’t help but feel he looks like he’s hatching a plot for world domination!”

Sarra Hoy tweeted: “Our little miracle, always one step ahead of us! Huge thanks to nursing staff who cared for Callum in ICU, HDU and finally, special care.”

Chris and Sarra Hoy turned to Twitter to keep their fans updated on Callum’s progress and have been touched by the support of well wishers.

On the day of Calum’s birth Chris Hoy Tweeted: “Amazed, delighted and a little shocked to announce the birth of our beautiful baby son, Callum David Robert Hoy! Born at 29 weeks, today at 2pm”

Fans were delight to hear Callum has made good progress and is now at home with his parents.

Amanda Smerczak replied: “So pleased you both have your wee man home. What a sweet little fighter! Happy Christmas.”

Linda Cameron tweeted: “Aw he is gorgeous. Hope he’s got a Christmas Onesie. … you know you have to!”
