Glasgow’s vibrant music scene is set to explode next week as stars descend on the city for a week of events in the lead up to the MTV awards.
MTV has announced MTV Music Week which will see a string of big acts including Chvrches, La Roux and R&B DJ Trevor Nelson playing at some of Glasgow’s most iconic venues.
The week of events is a partnership between MTV and Heineken and will run from Monday 3 November to Sunday 9 November ahead of the MTV Europe Music Awards at the SSE Hydro on Sunday 9 November.
Home grown electro-pop stars Chvrches will kick things off on Monday 3 with a sold-out gig at Scotland’s famous Barrowlands Ballroom.
Musical duo The 2 Bears will bring their unique pop house sounds to King Tuts Wah Wah wah the following day and British indie band Circa Waves will play Glasgow’s famous Oran Mor.
The week of events climaxes with legendary R&B DJ Trevor Nelson performing at the O2 ABC.
