A 19 year-old man was attacked and knocked unconscious in a late night assault.
Police are investigating an attack which took place on High Street in Dumfries in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 12:30am near The Globe Inn pub.
The victim was left with severe bruising to his face and head after being hit on the face a number of times and knocked out.
Police are trying to trace a man around 5’9” tall with a stocky build, short dark hair, wearing a purple jumper with an Argyll print.
