Skidmarks: tonnes of manure spilled after tractor crash

A TRACTOR towing a trailer packed with tonnes of manure managed to shed its load yesterday – leaving police officers holding their noses.

The accident resulted in the closure of a section of the A93 near Rob Roy Bridge, near Peterculter,  Aberdeenshire.

While no one was injured in the one vehicle accident, officers were forced to close a section of the road.

Stephen Early, said: “There’s a ‘skidmarks’ joke here… I just don’t have time to think it through.”

Pamela Anderson said: “Passed there after picking up the kids from school. Oh my god, the smell was soooooo bad.”

It seems even the police weren’t immune to pungent smell, with one user writing: “Just drove past two traffic cops standing holding their noses.”

Derek McMullen said: “This post is a pile of s***.”

Julie McAllister simply said: “Oh keek”.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 3:35pm this afternoon after a trailer overturned spreading its load across the road.

“The road is currently closed as officers are dealing with an oil spill as well. The council will be there shortly to start cleaning it up.”
